Paul Lee, the president of entertainment for ABC, confirmed that this would be the final season of the longtime comedy-drama hit.

The ABC dramedy, starring Eva Longoria and Marcia Cross, will end after its eighth season.

ABC has pulled the plug on Desperate Housewives. It will wrap up after eight seasons on the air.
